I have been an artist my whole life. When I was young, I received a horse paint-by-number art project as a gift. I remember being so excited to get home from school to work on it. This was the beginning for me. I was a shy girl who recognized beauty in everyday life and knew I was meant to be an artist.
Since childhood, I have experienced life in places worldwide, from Colorado to Europe and the Middle East. I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, where my family owned land and a log house off the Natchez Trace Parkway in Farmhaven. When my father was offered a two-year contract job in Saudi Arabia, our family moved to Riyadh. At age 15, I had the opportunity to see the world. I attended Jackson Academy until 10th grade, then graduated from S.I.P.S., Salzburg International Preparatory School in Austria. After returning to the United States, I earned my Bachelor's in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
I spent most of my adult life in Atlanta, GA, where my three children were raised. In 2019, I moved back to Mississippi to be closer to my elderly parents, Daniel and Mary McNamara. My father passed in 2021.
I currently work as a Marketing Graphic Designer at Mid South Rehab Services in Ridgeland, MS. I enjoy painting during my free time. I am a follower of Christ and regularly attend Pinelake Church.
My faith in God, my life on the farm, my love of nature, and my travels abroad greatly influence my work.
